No Snow can Stop us ...
Febuary 15th, 2007 (Burr Ridge, IL) --
On February 13 & 14th - Indiana received upwards of 15 inches of snow throughout the State. Nightingale Home Healthcare is proud to proclaim that we were open normal business hours on both days and our patients received the services ordered by their physicians.
On February 13, 2007 - all patients scheduled for the day were contacted and those patients needing services were seen within two hours of the phone calls to ensure their safety and health status was stable.
On February 14, 2007 - all Nightingale patients were contacted to ensure they were safe and their health status stable. Nightingale insisted on seeing some patients due to their health issues even though the patient said they were fine.
All Nightingale patients who are in the telemedicine program were contacted by the Cardiac Triage Nurse as well.
Nightingale field staff spent considerable amounts of time shoveling and driving to see their patients. Many patients reported their appreciation to field staff for shoveling their driveways and front steps. A member of Nightingale’s office staff took groceries to a client because she had no food or water and was stranded due to the snow storm.
Nightingale accepted new referrals and took doctors and patients calls as normal. Throughout the day, several callers stated, “I can’t believe you are open today.”
This is another example of Nightingale’s dedication to the patients we service.
