Chiropractic Care Helping Heroes Realize Their Potential in Triathlon Series
by William E. Morgan
Chiropractic Care Helping Heroes Realize Their Potential in Triathlon Series Competing in these events has actually made my life ten times better and has given me tremendous self-worth.

Team Semper Fi, a triathlon team comprised of elite athletes who are also disabled war veterans, competed in the Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon Series held last fall in CarmichaeL, CA. This year’s “Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon” was held on June 14. These athletes came forward to validate the value of chiropractic care in improving their ability to compete against able-bodied athletes by: swimming against the fierce currents from Alcatraz Island to San Francisco; biking eighteen miles; and running eight miles in a triathlon.

Chiropractic FOR THE HEALTH OF IT
by Clive Bridgham, DC
Chiropractic FOR THE HEALTH OF IT Chiropractic care is used most often to treat musculoskeletal complaints, including but not limited to back pain, neck pain, pain in the joints of the arms or legs, and headaches.

Have you considered chiropractic physicians? What is their training? What degrees do they have? What part do they play in the health care delivery system? Key to Good Health: Early Spinal Correction
by Jonathan B. Spages, DC
Key to Good Health: Early Spinal Correction back pain in many cases is only the precursor to something more serious happening within the body

There is back pain, there is scoliosis (curvature of the spine), there is arthritis, and there are slight abnormal alignments of the spine called subluxations. Having any of these problems can trigger a laundry list of health concerns. For example, back pain in many cases is only the precursor to something more serious happening within the body. In some instances, it can show the signs of cancer or organ malfunction (ex: diabetes). Known as a referral pain, it occurs when the organ actually sends pain signals out to the spine to give warning of potentially more serious health problems.

Chiropractic Care & Your Mental Health
by Amie Bailey, DC
Chiropractic Care Eleanor is a forty-six year-old mother of two. Recently, she has noticed she isn’t quite herself. Her mood seems to fluctuate. She finds she is easily irritated and short on patience at work and at home. Her children have noticed the change in her as well. When they ask if everything is okay, she flatly says, “Yes,” instead of her usually vibrant responses. Eleanor also finds herself fussing with her spouse more without real reason. She is restless at night and has difficulty sleeping. This behavior seems to have gone on for the past couple of months with no known cause. Despite being a chiropractic patient most of her adult life, it has been a while since Eleanor’s last adjustment.

Chiropractic Care and Your Health
by Amie Bailey, DC
Chiropractic A common misconception is that chiropractors are merely people who “crack backs”.

Chiropractic care can seem very mysterious if you have never experienced it before. As a chiropractor in private practice, I have heard many stories of why a patient has waited so long before visiting a chiropractor. These reasons range from not understanding what a chiropractor can do for them to having heard a “relative-of-a-friend’s friend” having a bad experience. In addition, patients often tell me that they think they will have to “come all the time” if they start chiropractic care. Let me demystify a typical office visit and illuminate what chiropractic care can offer you for improved health and better quality of life.
